Vote to pass a bill that repeals certain limitations on receipt of retirement or death benefits.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System from withholding the retirement or death benefits entitled to a member on the basis of any ongoing civil litigation to which the member is a party or that concerns their employment (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes the Board of Trustees of the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System to adjust the member’s retirement or death benefits based upon the disposition of any legal proceeding to which the member was a party (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that this Act takes effect immediately upon passage (Sec. 2).
