Vote to pass a bill that establishes the Security Operations Center within the Office of Information Security and Cyber Defense for the purpose of creating a state cyber security strategy in Nevada.

Highlights:

• Establishes that all meetings discussing the security of public facilities, public services, or critical infrastructure are not subject to public record and shall not be disclosed to anyone not in the Executive Department of State Government or the Legislature (Sec 1.3).

• Requires the Security Operations Center to develop policies to combat increasing threats to agencies posed by cybercriminals, protect sensitive data, and coordinate a rapid response to any cybersecurity incident (Sec. 2).
