Title: Prohibits Veterans Disability Service-Connected Compensation From Being Included in Monthly Income
Vote to pass a bill that would prohibit veterans disability service-connected compensation from being included in monthly income.
Authorizes applicants to proceed without paying court fees and costs if individuals meet requirements (Sec. 1).
Specifies that requirements include receiving public benefits from programs such as SSI, SSP, CalWorks, TANF, SNAP, GR, GA, CAPI, IHSS, Medi-Cal, and WIC. (Sec. 1)
Exempts court fees and costs if an individual's monthly income is 200% less than the current poverty guidelines (Sec. 1).
Exempts individuals that the court finds cannot pay court fees without using money that would pay for necessaries of life for the individual and the individual's family (Sec. 1).
