Title: Prohibits the Sale of Pistols that can be Converted to Fully Automatic
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits the sale of pistols that can be converted to fully automatic via attachments commonly known as "Glock switches" in California.
Defines firearm accessory as an attachment or device designed or adapted to be inserted, fixed onto, or used in combination with a firearm that is intended to alter/ enhance firing capabilities (Sec. 1).
Defines firearm-related product as a firearm, ammunition, firearm precursor part, firearm component, and firearm manufacturing machine (Sec. 1).
Defines a machine gun as any weapon that shoots, is designed to shoot, or can be restored to shoot more than one shot at a time without manually reloading (Sec. 2).
Defines pistol converter as any device that, when installed on the rear side of a semiautomatic pistol, enables the gun to shoot automatically (Sec. 4).
Prohibits the sale, exchange, transfer, or delivery of any semiautomatic machinegun- convertible pistol beginning on July 1, 2026 (Sec. 5).
Specifies that a first-time violation will have a fine of up to $1,000 (Sec. 5).
Specifies that a second violation will have a fine of up to $5,000 and a suspension/ revocation of firearm license (Sec. 5).
Specifies that a third violation is a misdemeanor and will result in revocation of firearm license (Sec. 5).
Exempts machinegun- convertible pistols delivered to a firearms dealer before January 1, 2026 (Sec. 5).
