Vote to pass a bill that increases funding to the Department of Health and Human Services for Medicaid expenses in North Carolina.

Highlights:

• Increases appropriations for Medicare from $600 million to $690 million to account for projected changes in enrollment, enrollment mix, service and capitation costs, and federal match rates, as well as implementation of the Children and Families Specialty Plan (Sec. 1.1).

• Appropriates $49.2 million and $34.4 million for the purposes of operating the State Medicaid managed care program (Sec. 1.1).

• Reduces appropriations for the Department of Health and Human Services Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services by $30 million (Sec. 1.3).
