Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that establishes employee protections regarding workplace bias training in California.

Highlights:

• Specifies that an employee’s acknowledgment of their own personal biases that was made in good faith or required as a part of bias mitigation training does not, by itself, constitute unlawful discrimination (Sec. 1).

• Defines “bias mitigation training” as training activities organized by an employer with the goal of educating employees on understanding the influence of conscious and unconscious thought processes and their associated impacts (Sec. 1).
