Title: Requires the Manufacturers of Menstrual Products to Label the Ingredients of the Product on the Product's Box or Packaging
Vote to pass a bill that requires the manufacturers of menstrual products to label the ingredients of the product on the product's box or packaging in Massachusetts.
Requires a package or box containing menstrual products for sale in the state to have a label printed or affixed to it that includes a list of all of the product’s ingredients (Sec. 1).
Requires a manufacturer of a menstrual product that is intended for sale in the state to post the ingredient information of the product on their website (Sec. 1).
Specifies that if there is a change to the ingredient list of a menstrual product, the manufacturer shall update the label on the product package within 18 months of the change, and update the ingredient list on their website within 2 months of the change (Sec. 1).
Establishes a fine of up to $1,000 per violation against a manufacturer in violation of this Section (Sec. 1).
Specifies that this Act takes effect 12 months after its passage (Sec. 2).
