Title: Authorizes Felony Fraud Claims Related to Unemployment to be Prosecuted up to 8 Years After a Crime was Committed
Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that authorizes felony fraud claims related to unemployment to be prosecuted up to 8 years after a crime was committed in Wisconsin.
Authorizes prosecutions within 8 years following a violation of felony fraud relating to the following benefits (Sec. 6):
Unemployment insurance;
Pandemic unemployment assistance;
Federal pandemic unemployment compensation and mixed earner unemployment compensation programs; or
The pandemic emergency unemployment compensation program.
Specifies that this Act takes effect on the Sunday after its publication (Sec. 8).
