Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that requires Dog Importers to submit health certifications to the CDFA in California.
Requires individuals who are selling, transporting, or importing a dog into the state of CA for the purpose of reselling or changing ownership must obtain a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the health certificate must include a statement of evaluation stating that no infectious or communicable disease was found, vaccines were administered, immunized against rabies, description of the dog, microchip number (if applicable), address of origin and destination of the dog, the veterinarians, name, address, signature, and state license, information of the buyer, and license number for the breeder (if applicable) (Sec. 1).
