Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that requires data brokers to issue data collection information to the California Privacy Protection Agency.
Requires internet data brokers to register with and report if they are gathering data regarding the personal information of minors, the collection of names, address information, emails, phone numbers, driver's license information, sexual orientation, immigration and citizenship status, etc, to the California Privacy Protection Agency (Sec. 1).
Requires internet data brokers to disclose to the California Privacy Protection Agency if they have sold/shared information to foreign actors, state governments, the federal government, or developers of generative AI in the past year (Sec. 1).
Requires internet data brokers to disclose to the California Privacy Protection Agency if they have sold/shared information to law enforcement in the past year, unless under court order or subpoena (Sec. 1).
Establishes an easy-to-access data deletion mechanism through the California Privacy Protection Agency (Sec. 3).
