Title: Requires Insurers to Report Likely Fraud to DIFS
Vote to pass a bill that requires insurers to report likely fraud to DIFS to help ensure law enforcement can crack down on crime more efficiently in Michigan.
Requires insurance providers to report acts of insurance fraud to the Director of the Department of Insurance and Financial Services once they have concluded their investigation, the Director will then conduct their own further investigation (Sec. 4506).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 4506).
