Title: Prohibits False Health Care Claims
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits false health care claims in Michigan.
Prohibits false or deceptive health care claims in Michigan (Sec. 2).
Defines “Deceptive” as claiming a health care corporation or health care insurer that contains a statement of fact or that fails to reveal a material fact, which statement or failure leads the health care corporation or health care insurer to believe the represented or suggested state of affairs to be other than it actually is (Sec. 2).
Defines “False” means wholly or partially untrue or deceptive (Sec. 2).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
