Vote to pass a bill that requires certifications and education records to be visible to employers in California.

Highlights:

• Requires employers to allow employees to receive and inspect a copy of their personnel records, including employee performance, training, education, and/or grievance records within 30 calendar days of written request (Sec. 1).

• Requires employers to maintain records of terminated employees for at least three years following termination and to provide a range of methods of delivering records to former employees if inspection is requested (Sec. 1).

• Establishes a fine of up to $750 for employers found to not comply with this law (Sec. 1).
