Vote to pass a bill that authorizes ivermectin to be sold over-the-counter in Texas.

Highlights:

• Authorizes a pharmacist to dispense ivermectin to a person, without requiring a prescription order from a licensed health care practitioner, in accordance with any written standardized procedures or protocols issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, including, if required, providing the individual with instructions on the proper use of ivermectin (Sec. 1).

• Exempts a pharmacist acting in a reasonably prudent manner from criminal or civil liability or subject to professional disciplinary action for dispensing ivermectin in accordance with this act (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect 90 days after the final adjournment date of the current legislative session (Sec. 2).
