Defines new habitable square footage as a finished and heated floor area fully enclosed by the inside surface of walls, windows, doors, and partitions and having a headroom of at least 6 ½ ft., including working, living, eating, cooking, sleeping, stair, hall, service and storage areas but excluding garages, carports, parking spaces, cellars, half-stores, and unfinished attica and basements (65912.156).
Requires transit-oriented housing developments to include a minimum of 5 dwellings (65912.157).
Specifies that housing cannot be located on a site that would require the demolition of housing with rent control (65912.157).
Requires developments to follow height, noise and safer standards (65912.157).
