Highlights:

• Prohibits firearms in the following locations, except for security and lawmakers (Sec. 234d):

• The Michigan State Capitol;

• The Anderson House Office Building; and

• The Binsfeld Senate Office Building.

• Specifies that an individual who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, a fine of not more than $100.00, or both (Sec. 234d).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 234d).
