Title: Requires the Department of Justice to Provide Grants for Responding to Suspected Child Maltreatment
Vote to pass a bill that requires the Department of Justice to provide grants to specified Child Advocacy Centers in Wisconsin for responding to suspected child maltreatment.
Repeals the requirement for the Department of Justice to provide annual grants of $17,000 to specified child advocacy centers for education, training, medical advice, and quality assurance activities (Sec. 1).
Requires the Department of Justice to award grants in each fiscal year to the following child advocacy centers to enhance the multidisciplinary response to suspected child maltreatment (Sec. 1):
Milwaukee Child Advocacy Center in Milwaukee County;
Kenosha County Child Advocacy Center in Kenosha County;
Fox Valley Child Advocacy Center in Outagamie County;
Child Advocacy Center of North Central Wisconsin in Marathon County;
Chippewa Valley Child Advocacy Center in Eau Claire County;
Willow Tree Cornerstone Child Advocacy Center in Brown County;
Racine County Child Advocacy Center in Racine County;
Walworth County Child Advocacy Center in Walworth County; and
Green County Child Advocacy Center in Green County.
