Title: Expands the List of Offenses That Can Bar Someone From Public Employment
Vote to pass a bill that expands the list of offenses that can bar someone from public employment in California.
Prohibits individuals from public employment for five years if they have been convicted of felonies involving bribery, conflict of interest, perjury, embezzlement, extortion or theft of public money, or conspiracy to commit any of these crimes as part of their official duties as a public employee (Sec. 1).
Prohibits city managers and city attorneys from future public employment in an equivalent role if convicted of any of the felonies listed above (Sec. 2).
