Title: Authorizes Currently Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to Administer General Anesthesia to any Person
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes currently licensed certified registered nurse anesthetists to administer general anesthesia to any person.
Authorizes licensed registered nurses who complete specific training programs to administer anesthetics up to and including moderate sedation to any person (Sec. 2).
Requires the Board of Nursing to provide the option to nurses applying for licensure to apply for a single or multistate license (Sec. 4).
Requires the Board of Nursing to issue an expedited license without examination to an individual who holds a license that is in good standing in another jurisdiction (Sec. 5-9).
Authorizes the Board of Nursing to waive the fee for initial licensure for a registered nurse who graduated from a New Mexico public school of nursing (Sec. 6-7).
Requires a reinstatement fee of $200 for nurses who allow their license to lapse (Sec. 10).
Authorizes the Board of Nursing to take disciplinary action against a nurse who uses conversion therapy on a minor (Sec. 11).
Specifies that files of nurses in the alternative to discipline program must be maintained in the office of the Board of Nursing and must be kept confidential except as required for reporting (Sec. 12).
