Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that requires an obituary notice from a funeral grounds to remove an individual from the voter rolls and allows military spouses to work as poll workers in Kansas.
Authorizes active military members, their spouses, and their dependents to serve as poll workers in Kansas (Sec. 1).
Amends a requirement that mail soliciting voter registration contain certain information and repeals a requirement that such information include specific details regarding the sender’s organization (Sec. 2).
Authorizes individuals to send solicitations containing advance ballot applications provided by county election offices (Sec. 2).
Repeals a requirement that solicitations containing advance voting ballot applications also include an envelope addressed to the appropriate county election office (Sec. 2).
Authorizes the county election officer to remove the name of a registered voter from relevant voter lists when said voter appears in an obituary published by a funeral home (Sec. 3).
Expands eligibility to serve as a judge or clerk to include all United States citizens living in the state of Kansas (Sec. 4).
