Vote to pass a bill that requires that individuals applying for absentee ballots include a copy of their identification as well as a signature from a licensed notary in order to obtain the ballot by mail in New Hampshire.
Specifies that every applicant for an absentee ballot shall provide verification before being issued an absentee ballot (Sec.1).
Specifies that verification shall be satisfied by (Sec. 1) :
Including a copy of the voter's photo identification with the absentee ballot application;
Including a notarized signature on the absentee ballot application form; or
Personally presenting a qualifying photo identification to the city or town clerk or
their designee prior to the issuance of the absentee ballot.
Specifies that this act shall take effect 60 days after its passage (Sec. 1).
