Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that appropriates $61 billion in funding for the upcoming fiscal year 2025-2026 state budget in Massachusetts.
Appropriates $61 billion for various education, healthcare, transportation, department, and agency costs and expenses for the fiscal year 2025-2026 state budget in Massachusetts (Sec. 1-137).
Increase state spending from previous state budgets by about $3.3 billion, or 5.6% in funding for the upcoming 2025-2026 fiscal year budget (Sec. 1-137).
Amends and repeals rental broker fees, codifies free bus trips at regional transit authorities and allows the use of political campaign funds for adult care services (Sec. 1-137).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect beginning July 1, 2025 (Sec. 138).
