Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that establishes new procedures, requirements, and penalties relating to Texas's judicial branch.
Establishes new procedures, requirements, and penalties relating to Texas's judicial branch (Sec. ).
Amends operation and administration of and practices and procedures related to proceedings in the judicial branch of state government, including, but not limited to (Article 1-14, Sec. 1-14.03):
Court security;
Court documents and arrest warrants;
Document delivery;
Juvenile boards;
Constitutional amendment election challenges;
Mandatory expunction for certain persons;
Record retention; and
Youth diversion;
Increasing a criminal penalty; and
Authorizing fees
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect beginning September 1, 2025 (Article 15, Sec. 15-02).
