Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the manufacture, sale, and possession of firearms without a valid serial number in Michigan.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the manufacture, sale, and possession of firearms without a valid serial number (ghost guns) in Michigan, punishable by the following, including (Sec. 14c):

• A misdemeanor offense with a $5,000 fine and up to one year prison sentence, or both for a first offense; and 

• A maximum felony criminal penalty of a $10,000 fine and a 5-year prison sentence or both for a second and subsequent offense.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 14c).
