Title: Authorizes Part-Time Employees to Use up to 10 Days of Leave in Any 12-Month Period to Serve as an Organ Donor
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes part-time employees to use up to 10 days of leave within any 12-month period to serve as an organ donor.
Authorizes a participating employee to use up to one hour, or more if authorized by the employer or a collective bargaining agreement, to donate blood every 56 days according to appropriate medical standards (Sec. 10).
Specifies that a participating employee or part-time employee may use up to 10 days of leave in any 12 months to serve as an organ donor (Sec. 10).
Specifies that for a part-time employee using leave under this subsection, the employer shall calculate the daily average pay the part-time employee received during their previous 2 months of employment and compensate the part-time employee based on that rate for the leave days used (Sec. 10).
Specifies that a participating employee or part-time employee may use the leave authorized in this Section only after obtaining approval from the employer (Sec. 10).
