Title: Amends and Reforms the State Cannabis Control Commission
Vote to pass a bill that amends and reforms the state Cannabis Control Commission in Massachusetts.
Amends and reforms the state Cannabis Control Commission in Massachusetts (Sec. 1-70).
Authorizes the Governor to appoint a full-time chair and two part-time associate commissioners (Sec. ).
Increases the following, including (Sec. 1-70):
The cap on the number of retail licenses an individual or entity can hold;
The daily purchase limit from one ounce of cannabis flower to 2 ounces; and
Regulations on hemp-related beverages and consumable products.
Repeals from state law the requirement that medical marijuana businesses cultivate, process, and sell their cannabis under one license, and authorizes the creation of new retail-only medical dispensaries (Sec. 1-70).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately following one year after passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 71).
