Vote to pass a bill that prohibits the carry of a concealed pistol on the premises of the state capitol and buildings of the state house and senate in Michigan.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the carry of a concealed pistol on the premises of the state capitol and buildings of the state house (Anderson House Office Building) and senate (Binsfeld Senate Office Building) in Michigan unless they’re carried by members of Capitol security or current state lawmakers in possession of a concealed carry permit (Sec. 5o).

• Specifies that “premises” does not include parking areas of the aforementioned locations (Sec. 5o).

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 5o).
