Title: Prohibits Transgender Girls from Participating on Female Sports Teams in Public Schools
Vote to pass a bill that prohibits transgender girls from participating on female sports teams in public schools in Pennsylvania.
Defines a "Public institution of higher education" as (Sec. 2):
A community college operating under Article XIX-A;
A rural regional college established under Article XIX-G;
A university within the State System of Higher Education; or
A State-related institution.
Defines a "Public school entity" as a school district, intermediate unit, area career and technical school, a charter school, regional charter school, or cyber charter school (Sec. 2).
Defines "Se." as a person's immutable characteristics of the reproductive system that defines the individual as male or female, as determined by anatomy and genetics existing at the time of birth (Sec. 2).
Specifies that an interscholastic, intercollegiate, intramural, or club athletic teams or sports that are sponsored by a public school entity must be expressly designated as either Male (men or boys), Female (women or girls), or Coed (Sec. 3).
Prohibits athletic teams or sports designated for females, women, or girls from being open to students of the male sex (Sec. 3).
Specifies that the bill takes effect 60 days after being passed (Sec. 7)
