Title: Authorizes Children to Remain on Their Parents' Health Insurance Until the Age of 26
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes children to remain on their parents' health insurance until the age of 26 in Pennsylvania.
Increases the age at which the child of a health insurance policyholder is no longer eligible to be covered by their plan from 19 to 26 (Sec. 1).
Specifies that a health insurance company may not deny or restrict dependent coverage based on any of the following factors (Sec. 1):
The child’s financial dependency status;
The residency status or location of the child;
The marital status of the child;
The child’s enrollment in an educational institution; or
The child’s employment status.
