Vote to pass a bill that prohibits schools from allowing transgender girls to participate in girls' sports in Michigan.

Highlights:

• Requires school boards to designate interscholastic athletic teams based on the sex of the participants (Sec. 1290).

• Prohibits school districts from knowingly allowing individuals of the male sex to participate in any interscholastic athletic team or sport designated only for participants of the female sex (Sec. 1290).

• Specifies that this Section does not restrict participation on any team or in any sports that are designated for participants of the male sex or that are coeducational (Sec. 1290).

• Authorizes students and school districts that are deprived of an athletic opportunity or which suffer harm as a result of a violation of this Section to take private action for relief against the violating entity (Sec. 1290).
