• Establishes the Residential Construction Board within the Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation for the purpose of setting standards of practice for residential general contractors (Sec. 1-8).

• Specifies that the board’s membership shall be comprised of the following, subject to appointment and/or removal by the Governor (Sec. 8):

• 3 general contractors, at least 1 of whom is a member of a construction trade association;

• 1 municipal code enforcement officer;
