Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that establishes regulations surrounding the sale, distribution, and possession of kratom in Colorado.

Highlights:

• Prohibits the knowing preparation, distribution, advertisement, or sale of kratom products (Sec. 2):

• That are adulterated by the addition of fentanyl or any other controlled substance, synthesized or semi-synthesized alkaloid, or other substance prohibited by law;

• To a person under 21 years of age;

• That contain a level of 7-hydroxymitragynine that is greater than 2% of the alkaloid composition of the product;

• Are a confection, mimics a candy product, or is presented in a form that appeals to children; or

• That are combustible or intended for vaporization.

•   Requires labeling for kratom products that clearly displays (Sec. 2):

• The name and address of the manufacturer or distributor of the product;

• The full list of ingredients of the product;

• Health-based disclosures and advice;

• A statement to keep out of reach of children; and

• Directions for use that include recommended and safe amounts for consumption.
