Title: Establishes a Tax Credit Program that Rewards Companies that Invest in Child Care Programs for Their Workers
Vote to pass a bill that creates a tax credit program that rewards companies that invest in child care programs for their workers
Authorizes the Alaska Department of Health to provide grants to the highest performing child care providers subject to the appropriation of funds and specifies under what basic criteria these grants may be awarded (Sec. 26).
Requires that the Alaska Department of Health amend and submit for federal approval the state plan for the state's child care assistance program under the federal child care and development fund program (Sec. 35).
Specifies that specific provisions shall retroactively take effect July 23, 2024, immediately upon passage, and conditionally upon the passage of a related amendment (Sec. 36-37).
