Title: Appropriates Funding for the State Mental Health Budget
Vote to adopt a conference report and pass a bill that appropriates funding for the state mental heath budget in Alaska.
Appropriates $236,700,900 from the General Fund and other funds in FY 2025-2026 for the following purposes (Sec. 1-3):
$4,145,500 to the Alaska Department of Administration for legal and advocacy services;
$6,970,500 to the Alaska Department of Corrections for community residential centers;
$10,497,300 to the Alaska Department of Corrections for health and rehabilitation services;
$513,900 to the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development for education support and administrative services;
$21,018,000 to the Alaska Department of Family and Community Services for the Alaska Psychiatric Institute;
$2,226,900 to the Alaska Department of Family and Community Services for children’s services;
$1,709,100 to the Alaska Department of Family and Community Services for juvenile justice;
$7,819,800 to the Alaska Department of Family and Community Services for departmental support services;
$54,045,300 to the Alaska Department of Health for behavioral health;
$286,800 to the Alaska Department of Health for health care services;
$4,987,500 to the Alaska Department of Health for public health;
$18,434,000 to the Alaska Department of Health for senior and disabilities services;
$82,155,800 to the Alaska Department of Health for Medicaid services;
$26,000 to the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development for commissioner and administrative services;
$100,100 to the Alaska Department of Law for its civil division;
$5,721,600 to the Alaska Department of Natural Resources for administration and support services;
$50,000 to the Alaska Department of Public Safety for Alaska state troopers;
$80,000 to the Alaska Department of Public Safety for the Alaska Police Standards Council;
$1,617,500 to the Alaska Department of Public Safety for the integrated victim assistance;
$6,231,600 to the Alaska Department of Revenue for the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority;
$200,000 to to the Alaska Department of Revenue for the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation;
$2,675,800 to the University of Alaska;
$532,800 to the Alaska Judiciary for the Alaska court system; and
$4,655,100 to the Alaska Judiciary for therapeutic courts;
Appropriates $14,260,000 from the General Fund and other funds in FY 2025-2026 for the following purposes (Sec. 4):
$1,325,000 to the Alaska Department of Health for various capital projects;
$12,235,000 to the Alaska Department of Revenue for various capital projects; and
$700,000 to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities for various capital projects.
Authorizes salary and benefit adjustments with respect to ongoing bargaining agreements (Sec. 9).
Specifies that the aforementioned allocations and provisions shall take effect July, 2026 (Sec. 10).
