vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that increases the crime of assault on a transit worker to a class 1 misdemeanor in Colorado.

Highlights:

• Authorizes the use of automated vehicle identification systems (cameras) on school buses to detect a motor vehicle overtaking a stopped school bus with visual signal lights (Sec. 1).

• Authorizes the state, county, or municipality to impose a fine of up to $300 in the case that a camera detects a motor vehicle in violation of illegal passing of a school bus (Sec. 1).
