Vote to concur with Senate amendments pass a bill that requires Colorado school districts to establish and publish policies regarding students' use of cellphones and other communication devices in the classroom.

Highlights:

• Requires that Colorado charter schools and school districts adopt and publish policies regarding students' use of cellphones and other communication devices in the classroom prior to July 1, 2026 (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that these policies must describe any limitations to both the possession and use of communication devices during the school day and authorizes schools to make such limitations as are appropriate based on relevant considerations (Sec. 2).

• Specifies that no policy shall be adopted that prevents students from accessing devices under the Americans with Disabilities Act (Sec. 2).

• Requires the Colorado Department of Education to make public resources to assist in the creation of such policies (Sec. 2).
