Title: Defines Nuclear Energy as a Clean Energy Resource
Vote to pass a bill that defines nuclear energy as a clean energy resource in Colorado.
Defines nuclear energy as a clean energy resource in Colorado (Sec. 1-4).
Amends the “clean energy” definition and determines which energy projects are eligible for clean energy project financing at the county and city and county level (Sec. 1-4).
Amends the definition for “clean energy resource” and determines which energy resources may be used by a qualifying retail utility to meet the 2050 clean energy target (Sec. 1-4).
Amends and updates the 2 statutory definitions to include nuclear energy, except that for property valuations made for tax purposes, the bill exempts from the definition of "clean energy resource" nuclear energy (Sec. 1-4).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect 90 days after the final adjournment date of the current legislative session (Sec. 5).
