Title: Authorizes K-12 Schools to Store and Use Opioid Reversal Drugs (Naloxone) and Amends Authorizations for Religious Release Time
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that authorizes schools to store and use opioid reversal drugs such as naloxone and amends authorizations for religious release time in Ohio.
Prohibits students from being excused from school to attend a released time course in religious instruction for longer than either of the following (Sec. 1):
Two periods per week for students in elementary or middle school; or
Time equivalent to two units of high school credit per week for students in high school.
Amends school policies to require K-12 schools to store and use opioid reversal drugs such as naloxone in Ohio (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
