• Requires social media platforms to display a warning label concerning the association between a minor’s social media usage and significant mental health issues in Texas (Sec. 1). 

• Requires that the warning label appear on the main landing page and that it include all of the following (Sec. 1):

• Information on available resources for those suffering from mental health issues;

• A statement about social media platforms’ usage of personal data; and

• A statement about the addictive nature of social media.

• Requires that the social media platform prohibit a user from utilizing the platform until they verify they understand the warning (Sec. 1). 

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect on September 1, 2025 (Sec. 3).
