Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that requires all K-12 public schools to install an audio recording device in locker rooms and dressing rooms of public-school campuses in Arkansas.
Requires all K-12 public schools to install an audio recording device in locker rooms and dressing rooms of public-school campuses in Arkansas (Sec. 1).
Requires chools to post in a conspicuous location in each locker room and dressing room a sign that notifies individuals of the presence of an audio recording device (Sec. 1).
Prohibits schools from doing any of the following, including (Sec. 1):
Destroying an audio recording created by the devices installed for a minimum of 90 days after the date on which the audio recording was created; and
Maintaining an audio recording created by the devices installed for longer than 12 months from the date on which the audio recording was made unless there has been an allegation of wrongdoing for which the audio recording may be used as evidence.
Requires at least 10 days before the destruction of an audio recording obtained, the public school district or open-enrollment public charter school shall publish a notice of intent to destroy the audio recording on the public school district's or open-enrollment public charter school's website (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 1).
