Vote to pass a bill that amends provisions related to the coverage for certain perinatal and gynecological services in Michigan.

Highlights:

• Extends and expands the Social Welfare Act in Michigan to include perinatal and gynecological services to fall under the eligible medical services (Sec. 109).  

• Requires the Department of Health and Human Services to do all of the following (Sec. 109):

• Ensure the services under the provisions of this bill are provided by a perinatal or gynecological professional;

• Monitor and track contracted health plans for compliance; and

• Pay a certain rate to perinatal or gynecological professionals who promote high-quality and high-value care.
