Highlights:

• Amends and broadens the scope of the Kansas Promise Scholarship (Sec. 1-5).

• Extends and expands the postsecondary educational institutions eligible to participate in the Kansas Promise Scholarship Program (Sec. 1-5).

• Increases the maximum allocation that could be given to institutions across the state from $10 to $15 million (Sec. 1-5).

• Specifies that the scholarship program covers the cost of tuition, books, fees, and supplies for students in families below a certain income threshold who want to attend community college or technical school (Sec. 1-5).
