Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that establishes state medicaid restrictions in Indiana.

Highlights:

• Amends and modifies provisions related to Medicaid and establishes certain restrictions in Indiana (Sec. 1).

• Requires the Office of the Secretary of Family and Social Services to report specified Medicaid data to the Medicaid oversight committee, including all of the following (Sec. 1):

• Improper Medicaid payments and expenditures;

• Federal and state recovered funds; and

• Any other data related to improper payments and ineligible Medicaid recipients who wrongly received Medicaid services.

• Requires the Office of the Secretary to submit a report to the budget committee about the Medicaid 5-year look-back period annually (Sec. 3). 

• Prohibits all of the following entities or individuals from advertising or marketing the Medicaid program (Sec. 4):

• A state agency; or

• A person that has contracted with the Office of the Secretary under the Medicaid program.

• Requires the Office of the Secretary to review the following information monthly to assess continuous eligibility for Medicaid recipients (Sec. 6):

• Earned income;

• Death register;

• Pension.
