Vote to pass a bill that establishes written policies to govern procurement of managed care organizations to provide state Medicaid services in Kansas.

• Requires the Department of Administration to adopt written policies to govern the procurement of managed care organizations in Kansas (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that such policy shall include (Sec. 1):

• A prohibition on destruction of records;

• A tiebreak procedure if part of the evaluation process used to make award recommendations involves scoring individuals;

• A requirement to be transparent with the legislature during the procurement process; and 

• An appeals process.

• Specifies that policies required by the provisions of this bill shall be adopted and implemented by July 1, 2026 (Sec. 1).
