Title: Establishes a Regulatory Relief Division within the Attorney General's Office
Vote to pass a bill that establishes a regulatory relief division within the Attorney General's Office in Kansas.
Establishes a regulatory relief division within the Attorney General’s Office to administer and support the operations of the general regulatory sandbox program in Kansas (Sec. 1).
Authorizes the Attorney General to appoint employees and a director to the division (Sec. 1).
Requires that the regulatory relief division (Sec. 1):
Administer the provisions of this bill;
Administer the general regulatory sandbox program; and
Act as a liaison between private businesses and applicable agencies to identify the rules and regulations that could be waived or suspended under the general regulatory sandbox program.
Establishes the general regulatory sandoz program advisory committee, made up of 11 members as follows (Sec. 1):
5 members who represent business interests from a variety of industries;
2 members who represent state agencies that license or regulate businesses;
2 members of the Senate; and
2 members of the House of Representatives.
