Title: Requires Photo IDs to Purchase Any Vape Product
Vote to concur with House amendments and pass a bill that requires photo IDs to purchase any vape product in Tennessee.
Requires photo IDs to purchase any vape product in Tennessee (Sec. 1).
Establishes a 10% tax on open-system vape products and a 7% tax on closed-system vape products (Sec. 4).
Prohibits the sale of any vape product that has not undergone the approval process by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (Sec. 7).
Specifies that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration must maintain and make publicly available a list of all vapor product manufacturers, brand names, and product names that have been submitted and approved, beginning January 1, 2026 (Sec. 7).
Establishes fines between $500 and $1,500 against retailers for every vape product sold illegally (Sec. 7).
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect July 1, 2025 (Sec. 8).
