Vote to pass a bill that increases funding for schools with high-needs students in Idaho.

Highlights:

• Increases funding for schools with high-needs students in Idaho and adds several funding weights based on the following student characteristics (Sec. 1-8):

• For special education students, the payment would be increased by 175% per student;

• For students in alternative schools, the per-student payment would be doubled, a 100% increase; and

• For economically disadvantaged students, English language learners, and gifted and talented students, the increase would be 25%.

• Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall declare an emergency and take effect beginning July 1, 2025 (Sec. 9).
