Title: Repeals and Amends Certain Protections Currently in Place for Kentucky Workers
Vote to override the Governor's veto and pass a bill that repeals and amends certain protections currently in place for Kentucky workers.
Prohibits the Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board or the secretary of the Education Labor Cabinet from enforcing any occupational safety and health administrative regulation that has not been promulgated by or that is more stringent than the corresponding federal provision (Sec. 1-5).
Authorizes and allows an employee's representative to be present during an inspection and for the commissioner's representative to consult with employees if there is no employee representative available (Sec. 1-5).
Specifies that only current employees or qualified representatives of current employees to request an inspection (Sec. 1-5).
Require that the alleged violation date be included in the notice and the employee's representative be notified and create time limits for filing a complaint and issuing a citation (Sec. 1-5).
Requires that each citation include a reference to the provision of the rule or regulation violated (Sec. 1-5).
Requires a citation or notice for any de minimus violation be issued promptly after inspection (Sec. 1-5).
Prohibits issuance of a citation more than 6 months after the violation (Sec. ).
Requires the correction period to not be tolled until the conclusion of the action (Sec. 1-5).
