Title: Establishes Protections for Minors Testifying in Court Against Their Accused Abusers
Vote to pass a bill that establishes protections for minors testifying in court against their abusers in Wyoming.
Requires that in cases of sexual assault of a minor, incest or human trafficking, the minor victim may testify remotely or have the defendant excluded from the courtroom in Wyoming (Sec. 1-2).
Specifies that other accommodations may also be made if the court determines the child may experience extraordinary emotional distress or barriers to communicating (Sec. 1-2).
Specifies the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 2).
