Title: Appropriates $200 Million to Expand Regional Behavioral Health Services
Vote to pass a bill that appropriates $200 million to expand regional behavioral health services statewide in New Mexico.
Appropriates $200 million from the general fund to expand regional behavioral health services across New Mexico to address a wide range of community needs, including (Sec. 1-13):
Planning;
Diversion;
Outpatient services;
Inpatient care;
Crisis response;
Mobile units;
Behavioral health education;
Homelessness;
Corrections;
Discharge; and
Housing.
Specifies eligible recipients for the funding include (Sec. 1-13):
State agencies;
Local governments;
Tribes; and
Federally qualified health centers.
Specifies that the provisions of this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor (Sec. 14).
